When I’m straight…
This one is hard to fit into a mix, but one of my favorite tunes. I had to bring everything down so slow to play this one. I had to really beg people to follow me down, I promise this is the bottom and we’ll start going up soon. Just listen, swim in Lee’s voice.
I’ll probably only start or end sets with this one from now on. I got this one for another one of my dollars on eBay.
I had a big Lee Hazlewood fascination a few years ago. I kept trying to find a bad song of his from 1963-‘70, but they were all pretty good. Some amazing. But like then as now, he’s a little hard to classify. A little hard to throw in the mix.
I’ll keep trying.
